This is the homepage for the Academy of American Poets. There is an abundance of information on this site. Including seasonal poems, highlighted poets, poetry in the classroom. My favorite is an interactive United States Map. When clicking on Kansas the featured Kansas poets are listed with biographical information. Also there is a history link and this time it is to Langston Hughes. There is also a listing for college writing programs. In addition Literary organizations & centers and Literary journals & small presses are linked.
